After signing a new contract, Levi Sutton expressed his confidence that he could take Harrogate Town to a new level in the 2024–2025 season.
The 27-year-old midfielder played 43 games for the Sulphurites in all competitions last season, helping them establish a serious play-offs bid before ultimately recording their best-ever League Two finish.

Having reached an agreement with Sam Folarin and Stephen Dooley to extend his stay at Wetherby Road for one additional year, he is now focused on helping the team maintain its upward trajectory.

Lloyd Kerry, the Town’s Head of Player Recruitment, had a key role in arranging Sutton’s January 2023 transfer from Yorkshire rival Bradford to Harrogate.

Furthermore, the former Sulphurites midfielder expressed his happiness that the player will be staying for at least another year, as did first-team boss Simon Weaver.

He remarked, “We’re thrilled that Levi has committed for another season.”

“He’s been a crucial and dependable player for us since joining the club; he provides us with energy, pace, and bite in the heart of the park.

Levi is a seasoned player who is nearing the end of his football career. I think he’s a great addition, and I’m sure he’ll put in a lot more hard work next season.

Kerry continued, “Levi, Stephen, and Sam have all chosen to extend their contracts with us which was really important business for us.” Kerry was speaking to the decisions made by those three out-of-contract players to accept offers to stay with Town for 2024–2025.

“They understand the club, the coaches, and their methods.”

“After talking to them, they all expressed how much they love being a part of the football team, and we believe that this is encouraging.”
