Woman and two children lost there life in serious fatal crash near Harrogate

Following a fatal collision in the Ripon area near South Stainley that claimed the lives of a woman and two children, police are asking for information.

Two children and a woman were murdered in a horrific crash close to Harrogate. Following a fatal collision at South Stainley yesterday afternoon, a mother and two children have passed away. Police are looking for witnesses and dashcam footage from the collision, which happened at approximately 2:20 pm on the A61 between South Stainley and Ripley. There was a double-decker bus, a blue Toyota Aygo, and a silver Vauxhall Meriva involved. The bus was moving in the opposite direction from the Vauxhall and Toyota, which were heading south towards Ripley. Sadly, after the crash, the three people inside the Vauxhall Meriva—a six-year-old boy, a teenage girl, and a woman in her 30s—all passed away. To enable all emergency services to respond to the collision and for investigators to survey the area, the route was closed. Around 11.30 p.m., it reopened.
