Murder accused named ahead of court ‘shooting’

Kenneth Richardson, 44, was also charged with possession of an air weapon with intent to endanger life

Following an incident in Hartlepool when another guy was reportedly shot with an air gun, a man has been charged with attempted murder.

On Thursday, Cleveland Police were called to an address on Telford Close. According to the force, a man was discovered just before 7 a.m. with a pellet injury to his temple that was probably inflicted by an air gun.

The 63-year-old was brought to Middlesbrough’s James Cook University Hospital, where his condition is not considered life-threatening. Kenneth Richardson, 44, was charged with attempted murder, the force revealed on Friday.

Telford Close resident Richardson was placed under arrest and scheduled to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

A spokeswoman stated: “A 44-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident in Telford Close, Hartlepool yesterday morning has been charged with attempted murder and with possession of an air weapon with intent to endanger life.”
