Heart of Midlothian have confirmed Harry Stone will join Ayr United on loan for the 2024/25 season.
The club has chosen to send Zander Clark, who won an award for his performances for the League One team at Queen of the South, to Somerset Park to continue his development, despite the fact that both Craig Gordon and Clark are under contract for the upcoming season.
Stone is well regarded at Tynecastle Park, according to Steven Naismith, who also gave an explanation for the most recent loan.
“Harry received a lot of praise for his performances and had a great season with Queen of the South,” he said on the team’s website.
“We want him to maintain that momentum, and we think Ayr United will provide him with an excellent environment in which to do so.”
“It will be a challenge for him because it’s a level up, but we think highly of this player.” Harry has to continue to advance and meet the standards that we know he’s capable of capable of.”
