Yan Dhanda, Blair Spittal and James Penrice are on board for next season
The forward-thinking Hearts have signed pre-contract agreements with three Scottish Premiership standouts and are now looking to add more fresh arrivals to strengthen their ranks.
Yan Dhanda from Ross County, Blair Spittal from Motherwell, and James Penrice from Livingston have been signed by Steven Naismith. The Jambos are closing in on third position in the Premiership and are looking forward to another trip to Europe. Now, Nasimith and Joe Savage, the transfer chief for Hearts, are strongly focused on bringing in additional players to enhance their roster.\
“We will definitely look to do some things,” Naismith stated in an interview with the Edinburgh Evening News. Our goal is to prepare in advance. We are aware of certain locations where greater competition for spaces and higher standards could exist. The other is that you never know what’s going to happen, just like in any club. You have no idea what offers your athletes will receive. It’s uncertain if athletes will choose to extend their contracts.
“We’ll undoubtedly conduct additional business in the window. We have to reach a point where we are constantly searching. It emphasises the player more. Do we believe he will make us better? Is it possible for us to admit them earlier so they have more time to adjust and feel at ease in this setting? We’ve discussed at the club that we should sign an extra player if that means that we might sign more than we should. We must manage it within the squad if we believe it will help us grow and improve. Regarding the organisation and our plan of action, I believe we are in a really excellent spot.”
While Naismith acknowledges that his hit list includes a few crucial areas, he has consistently emphasised that quality plays a bigger role on the field than any one area. The Jambos’ manager continued, saying, “We are considering a few positions. We only had one right-back left after Odel returned to Brighton, therefore we needed one in January. We are not in a situation where I believe we have to choose one player over another right now. Our troops are about to expire from contracts. The only way to get better is to examine the quality in every section if we wish to continuously advance and get better.
“Some guys may have had a shift in perspective since October or November. We believe there are additional areas where it may have fallen a little short and we need to make improvements. That is our method of operation. It is currently in progress. I place a great emphasis on being organised and ahead of the game, which is why we hold frequent recruitment meetings.”
And Naimsith acknowledges that in their ongoing effort to keep Hearts in the mix at the top of the table, he and Savage work through a constantly changing list of alternatives. “We try to build it so that we have coverage for every position because you never know with injuries or player sales or anything else,” he stated. You’re always trying to get past that.
Since they don’t exactly fit the profile we’re going for, some of those players will be taken off the roster very soon. Or perhaps while you keep an eye on them, their form falters or they get purchased by someone else. You eventually reach a point where you can clearly see your targets flying out of the window. You are aware that those two or three are the ones you must include in that place. Which is the sequence in which they are? This is the method we use.
