Journalist Alan Nixon claims that Hibernian are pursuing former Stoke City goalkeeper Josef Bursik, who they want on a season-long loan deal.
After attended and graduated from Stoke City’s youth academy, the 23-year-old made 53 appearances for the Potters in his tenure.
In January of last year, the Potters finally sold him to Belgian team Club Brugge after he had several loan spells.
Bursik has struggled in Belgium; following a protracted absence due to a ruptured knee ligament, the goalie was only able to play for the club’s youth squad.
But Hibs have now provided Bursik with a lifeline, allowing him to begin anew in Scotland.
Hibernian wants to sign the goalie to a loan agreement.
The six feet two-inch goalkeeper has played for England at various youth levels; in 2022, he made his final appearance for the Under-21 squad.
Hibs are hoping for a roster makeover in order to compete next season after missing out on the top six finishes in the previous campaign.
