The news outlet reported on 21 March that Greaves’ form in the Championship has led to interest from Everton and Tottenham, who are said to be tracking the 23-year-old’s progress at the MKM Stadium.

It is understood that 31-year-old Manchester United and England defender Maguire, who left Hull for Leicester in 2017, is an example of how the Humberside club can nurture emerging centre-backs.

Will Jacob Greaves be acquired by Everton during the summer transfer window?

Everything probably depends on the division the teams play in the following year.

With a game remaining against sixth-place Norwich, Liam Rosenior’s team is only three points outside of the play-off spots in the Championship, showing that Hull is performing well.

Although it’s unlikely given how well the top four teams are performing in the Championship this year, there is a chance they can advance this season.

If they do go up, it’s likely that Greaves will stay on but if they don’t, the centre-back could be on the move

On March 2, Rosenior acknowledged to HullLive that Greaves’s suggestion is “wonderful,” as it indicates the “outstanding” defender’s continued success.
We would anticipate him to be in the top division next season, Hull City or not, as he is a Premier League player in the making.

The key question is whether Everton will play in the Premier League and, if so, will their finances will allow them to compete with Spurs and other teams?

In all honesty, it seems very unlikely that the Blues will be able to pull off this signing but it’s good to see them having a look at players of Greaves’ ilk.

In other Everton news, Moshiri was left without £200million paperwork to sign as a PSR blunder has emerged.
