Jordan Abdull has reached an agreement to rejoin Hull FC for the 2025–2026 season and beyond. The 28-year-old’s parent club, Hull KR, has granted the Black and Whites permission to speak with the player while he is currently on loan at Catalans Dragons.

Abdull’s contract with the Robins runs through the conclusion of the 2026 campaign. Though Abdull was signed by the Dragons on a season-long loan with the option to extend it until July, his future will undoubtedly be with them rather than East Hull.

Hull Live has learned that the player would prefer to return to Hull, and the Airlie Birds, who made an attempt to sign Abdull a few weeks ago, have agreed to a multi-year deal that will see their former academy product rejoin his junior team.

In contrast, Abdull made 54 appearances for Hull between the 2014 and 2018 seasons after making his debut for the team ten years ago. Since then, he’s developed into one of Super League’s best-kicking half-backs, and as a club-produced player, just £50,000 of his salary is subject to the cap.

In addition to helping to develop the club’s young players, the Black and Whites will be hoping that Abdull forges a solid partnership with Jake Trueman in the upcoming campaign. Jack Charles is expected to eventually assume the position.

Abdull has played for the London Broncos and Hull KR since leaving Hull, totaling over 175 career appearances. In 2021, he also made his debut for England against France.

Abdull is anticipated to sign with the team for the upcoming campaign, joining players like Oliver Holmes, Amir Bourouh, Zak Hardaker, and John Asiata. Hull are also planning to add more players, both from within and abroad, with their main goals being the hooker and back-row positions.
