Niall Evalds and Kelepi Tanginoa, who were both absent earlier in the season, are expected to return for Hull Kingston Rovers, who have picked a strong 21-man squad for their play-off semifinal matchup against Warrington Wolves.
Due to their inclusion in the squad, potential young players Leo Tennison and Harvey Horne, who were previously selected, are not included this time. Meanwhile, captain Elliot Minchella is once again out due to a two-match ban for a high shot on Matt Moylan of the Leigh Leopards.
Due to a hamstring issue, Tanginoa was unable to play in the most recent match, a 26-16 victory against Leeds Rhinos that guaranteed second place and a home semifinal, while Evalds was still sidelined following a failed HIA. Oliver Gildart’s rib injury has also been a problem, keeping him out of the 17 against Leeds, but he is back in the 21-man roster.
When asked about the Minchella appeal’s denial, Willie Peters, the head coach of Hull KR, replied, “That’s the past. Right now, we just care about who is participating. After taking over, Dean Hadley performed admirably. It’s important to concentrate on the guys we have available and their performance on Friday evening. They all enjoy playing with Dean Hadley, therefore I have no doubts about his abilities. He never changes. Wherever he plays, he performs the same function.”
