Despite five Super League players being charged by the Match Review Panel, none of them have received a second-week suspension.

The five players who were charged included Hull FC half-back Jake Trueman and Hull KR centre Peta Hiku. However, as was the case last week, no player has received a suspension.

With two weeks without a suspended player in the Super League, it’s another indication that the disciplinary controversy that started this season may be starting to fade.

Trueman was charged with Grade B Dangerous Contact after Hull’s Friday night comeback victory over Warrington Wolves. But all he received was a £250 ban.

Hiku was given the same penalty after a Grade A Dangerous Contact, with his £250 fine being the maximum amount allowed under the charge grade guidelines.

After the Leeds Rhinos defeated the London Broncos, hooker Andy Ackers was charged with Grade A Other Contrary Behaviour. Despite this, Ackers was not disciplined further.

During their loss to Wigan Warriors, Catalans Dragons had two more players charged. Ben Garcia, the captain of the Dragons, was fined £250 for a Grade B Head Contact incident, and Bousquet received the same punishment for a Grade B trip.
