Inter Miami set to sign South American star endorsed by Messi#

According to reports, Matias Rojas, an international player for Paraguay, is close to leaving his contract with Corinthians, a major Brazilian team, and will join Inter Miami.

The Herons have been busy in the transfer market lately, as midfielder Jean Mota was sold to Vitoria in Brazil and DeAndre Yedlin was traded to FC Cincinnati.

There is now some room in the budget to add another new player, and it looks like Tata Martino has found him after Inter Miami cut their salary cap by almost $2 million.

Inter Miami set to sign Paraguay international Matias Rojas

Journalist Cesar Luis Merlo claims that after Rojas’ official release from Corinthians, the Florida team will sign him. The forward is eager to leave because he was not paid for his image rights.

Rojas is a right-sided attacker for Paraguay who has already faced and defeated Lionel Messi. However, since moving from Argentina to Brazil, Rojas’ career has taken a turn for the worse.

But with fellow international Diego Gomez also at Inter Miami, and a team led by former Paraguay head coach Martino, MLS might be a terrific setting for Rojas to get everything back on track.

In fact, working out and learning with Messi may also play a major role in Rojas putting his act together, particularly in the lead-up to the Copa America in the United States this summer.

Tata Martino finally has a real backup option for Lionel Messi

Finding a replacement for Messi in the squad is one problem Inter Miami has already encountered recently; the Argentine has struggled with this issue for nearly ten years.
Even though Rojas is obviously not nearly as talented as the 36-year-old striker, Martino may see the Paraguay international as the perfect substitute for Messi in the event that the forward is hurt or needs a rest.

The success of Inter Miami this season will depend on Messi’s fitness, and Rojas might be the player who keeps the reigning Ballon d’Or winner from getting hurt from playing too much.
