In Keith, inspections are scheduled for tomorrow in the wake of a landslip.

Following debris that tumbled down into the River Isla at Union Bridge on the A96, safety precautions have been implemented.

The event happened after a torrential downpour that evening.

For safety reasons, the walkway across the road bridge has been blocked off.

In the interim, road teams have also installed temporary lights to manage traffic while they do inspections.

Amey has announced that tomorrow will mark the start of the site inspections.

“A96 Old Keith Bridge/Church Street Keith, following an earlier landslip, remains under two-way traffic light control until the site is inspected tomorrow,” reads a message published by the company.

“Very little delays in the region.

The traffic on the road, including Church Road and Regent Street, is affected by the measures.
