Prince Harry will inherit millions on his milestone birthday, a stark contrast to his older brother Prince William, who was honoured with a ceremonial bell ringing at Westminster Abbey on his 40th birthday.
According to a story, Prince Harry will get a sizable payoff when he turns 40 later this year. On September 15, the Duke of Sussex will be 40. Thanks to arrangements made by his late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, Prince Harry will inherit millions of dollars on his milestone birthday, in stark contrast to his elder brother Prince William, who was given a ceremonial bell concert at Westminster Abbey on his 40th birthday.
The late Queen Mother created a $90 million family trust fund, according to the Times, with the provision that the Duke of Sussex would get his portion upon turning 40. According to reports, Prince Harry will receive more money from his share than Prince William, perhaps $8.5 million.
Prince Harry’s elder brother, however, would profit from the tax-exempt Duchy of Cornwall, a private estate that finances his public, philanthropic, and private endeavours. Prince Harry would still have to pay taxes on his inheritance.
“William will benefit from the vast wealth of the Duchy of Cornwall, a private estate that funds the public, charitable, and private activities of the king’s heir,” a source told the New York Post. “As a result, Harry is likely to receive slightly more than half of the 14 million pounds allocated for the brothers,” they stated.
The site pointed out that Prince Harry’s impending inheritance would be a nice bonus, given his projected net worth of $60 million at present.
After leaving as senior working royals, Prince Harry and his spouse, Meghan Markle, made Montecito, California, their new home. Since leaving the royal life in 2020, they have taken on a number of high-profile ventures, which have significantly increased their net worth. Among these endeavours are an original Netflix series, Prince Harry’s candid memoir Spare, and Meghan Markle’s 12-part podcast Archetypes.
The Post claims that Prince Harry is even thinking about writing a sequel. With the impending debut of Meghan Markle’s new lifestyle business, American Riviera Orchard, the pair will also reap significant financial rewards.
