, a Cherries loanee, is someone KILMARNOCK manager Derek McInnes “would love to keep” after his current contract expires.
Dennis, the Kilmarnock goalkeeper, has shown promise beyond the border, keeping 17 clean sheets in 41 games.
Also, Killie manager McInnes thinks that all three parties have benefited from the loan.
“I spoke with Bournemouth on Tuesday, and they are thrilled with his loan,” he declared. For them, it could not have gone more smoothly.
“This young man made the transition from playing in non-league football on his first loan to the Premiership.”
“He has contributed much and has excellent stats. He has performed incredibly well for us for someone so young.
He’s one of the few players on loan that I really want to keep. For Bournemouth, us, and him, the loan has been excellent. That is just how you would like your loans to be.
McInnes did add that he won’t be holding out to see if Dennis is available for the upcoming season indefinitely.
He went on, “You can’t wait for someone forever, so we need to make the best preparations we can for ourselves.
“We will take that instead of taking the chance on a maybe signing if another good option arises.”
