A Glasgow independent shop is closing after just over a year in operation.
The Study Gifts & Interiors on Kilmarnock Road has announced a ‘closing down’ sale as it prepares to say farewell to the Shawlands community.
They praised consumers for their support since they first opened in December 2022 and encouraged them to visit the store because ‘everything must go’.
A statement said, “The Study Gifts & Interiors is shutting. Since launching the business in Shawlands in December 2022, I’ve worked tirelessly to provide a fresh mood to Kilmarnock Road with an ever-changing assortment of innovative things.
“It has been an incredible trip, but one that is unfortunately coming to an end.
“I’d want to thank everyone who has visited, browsed, and shopped at The Study. And a special thank you to my incredible family and friends for their unfailing love and support.
“The shutting down sale begins today; please help me go out with a bang by stopping by and picking up some lovely goods at amazing rates. “Everything must go!”
Since the announcement on Thursday morning, one client has described the closure as’so sad’.
