The rider was pronounced dead at the site, while the driver of the automobile sustained injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
On Friday, a man in his 60s was killed in Limerick when a car collided with a motorbike.
The incident occurred around 2 p.m. on the R515 in Kilmallock.
The driver of the motorbike was pronounced dead on the scene. His body has already been taken to University Hospital Limerick.
The car’s driver, who was in his forties, underwent treatment on the scene. His injuries are thought to be non-life threatening.
The R515 road remains closed until a technical investigation by garda forensic collision investigators is completed.
Local diversions are in place.
