Police information after a 74-year-old man died in Kilmarnock

Road Policing Officers are appealing for information after a 74-year-old man died on Friday, 19 April, after coming off his pedal bike in Kilmarnock.

The man was found injured beside his bike on MacDonald Drive at the junction with Milton Drive, around 10.30am on Friday, 19 April. He was taken to Crosshouse Hospital where he died later that day.

Sergeant Brian Simpson of the Road Policing Unit at Irvine said: “We received a report of this on Monday, 22 April, and we are carrying out enquiries to establish how the 74-year-old man came about his injuries.

“We are working to gather information that will assist us in establishing the circumstances and I would urge anyone who was in the area of Milton Drive on Friday morning to please contact us as soon as possible.

“I would also appeal to anyone with dash-cam to check their footage for anything that may assist our ongoing enquiries.”
