Kilmarnock police raided a town centre building over the weekend after receiving a report of’suspicious activity’.
Police stormed the King Street building on Saturday afternoon.
Officers said that a 31-year-old man was arrested and charged with attempted theft, drug possession, and breach of bail.
A representative for Police Scotland stated, “Around 12.25pm on Saturday, April 6, 2024, police were alerted to an allegation of suspicious activity at a disused building in King Street, Kilmarnock.
“Officers responded, and a 31-year-old man was arrested and charged with attempted theft, drug offences, and breach of bail.”
“He is due to appear before Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Monday, April 8, 2024 and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
Police raided the same unused building last month, discovering a £150,000 cannabis grow.
