Kilmarnock police swooped on a town centre building at the weekend after a report of ‘suspicious activity’ was made.

Cops raided the King Street building on Saturday afternoon.

Authorities have verified that a 31-year-old guy was taken into custody and charged with drugs crimes, violation of bail, and attempted theft.

A representative for officers Scotland stated: “On Saturday, April 6, 2024, at around 12:25 p.m., officers were alerted to a report of suspicious activity at a vacant property in King Street, Kilmarnock.

Officers attended and a 31-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with attempted theft, drugs offences and breach of bail.

“He is due to appear before Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Monday, April 8, 2024 and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”

The same disused building was raided by police last month and a cannabis cultivation worth £150,000 was discovered by authorities.
