The crash happened at the Pullover roundabout near King’s Lynn at around 7am today.
Delays built in the area, particularly on the A17 and Clenchwarton Road.
Congestion worsened as rush hour traffic hit the busy route.
Traffic was queuing on the A47 Pullover Road roundabout on the edge of King’s Lynn from Lynn Road to the A17.
Two fire engines from King’s Lynn North and Terrington were called to the incident just after 6am this morning.
Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment and a stop time was called just before 7am.
National Highways posted on X: “The A47 is now closed in both directions between the B198 and the A17 due to a serious collision including an overturned car.”
