Due to an accident that occurred today close to the Cambridgeshire border, the A47 is closed in both directions. Traffic is not permitted on the eastbound or westbound carriageways between Tilney All Saints and the A17 Pullover Roundabout in King’s Lynn.
Around 6.45 am, word of the shutdown was initially reported. There are diversionary routes in place.
“The A47 in Norfolk is closed in both directions between the B198 near Wisbech and the A17 near King’s Lynn due to a serious collision involving an overturned car,” a National Highways representative stated. There are emergency services there, including the Norfolk Police, and the road will likely remain closed throughout morning. Emergency services from Norfolk are present.
“A47 Pullover Road in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to overturned vehicle,” stated Inrix, a traffic data provider.
