In Leamington Spa, a man was shot and later died.
About 03:00 BST, authorities reported, the person was discovered near the intersection of Clemens Street and Ranelagh Terrace with critical injuries.
After being brought to the hospital, the man, who was in his late 20s, was pronounced dead.
An inquiry into a murder has been opened. According to Warwickshire Police, the guy may have been shot on Frances Havergal Close just before he was discovered.
The force further stated that a post-mortem examination was scheduled.
At the ends of Ranelagh Terrace and close to the intersection of Frances Havergal Close, a traffic closure was implemented.Ch Insp Faz Chishty stated: “We recognise the concern this incident, which is believed to be isolated, may have caused the local community and want to reassure them that a full investigation is under way.”
Members of the public have been told to expect a heightened police presence in the area while officers carry out inquiries.
