As the Whites get ready to take on Cardiff City, who are currently at the bottom of the table, this afternoon, Leeds United manager Daniel Farke will hold his pre-match press conference. United will be looking to bounce back this weekend when they visit the Cardiff City Stadium, with Bluebirds boss Erol Bulut under growing pressure following a disappointing start to the season.

Cardiff will probably want to irritate their white-shirted opponents on Saturday afternoon by putting up a defensive front, having lost four of their first five league games this season and giving up eleven goals in the process.

While a point in South Wales will be considered a disappointing outcome for Daniel Farke, a draw might be sufficient to persuade the Cardiff authorities that Bulut has stopped the slide. If Leeds wants to stay ahead of the Championship’s early leaders at the top of the standings, they must, at minimum, win this match.

Due to a hamstring injury that returned, Farke revealed last week that Dan James will not play again until after the next international break in mid-October. Meanwhile, Patrick Bamford did not play in Burnley’s victory last weekend even though he had resumed team training.

We anticipate hearing more about the 31-year-old attacker and Max Wober, the central defender who returned from his international assignment with a meniscus injury.

Farke will also probably provide an update on the health of Joe Rodon and Ethan Ampadu, who were replaced after a strong challenge against the Clarets. It is worth talking about if the latter will be available this coming weekend because it appears that he may have sustained a concussion in the last moments of the 1-0 loss.

This weekend, two of the cherished former clubs of the late, great skipper Sol Bamba will unite to pay tribute to the larger-than-life figure who tragically departed this month. Bamba played for Leeds from 2015 to 2016, and then he signed a five-year contract with the Bluebirds that expired in 2021. The Ivorian will serve as the spokesperson for Cardiff’s matchday schedule.

Start following all of the text updates here at 1:30 pm regarding Farke’s press conference.
