Lauren Evans’s family has paid homage to her, describing her as “truly beautiful inside and out,” after she was discovered dead last week alongside the body of TV paramedic Daniel Duffield.
A 22-year-old woman was discovered dead in a Staffordshire home, and her family has described her as a “sweet girl whose smile would brighten even the darkest of days.” According to Staffordshire Police, Lauren Evans, a resident of Bridgend, South Wales, is being investigated for murder.

On June 25, emergency personnel discovered the body of Miss Evans in Hednesford, near Cannock. Daniel Duffield, a 24-year-old paramedic with the West Midlands Ambulance Service, was also found dead.

Duffield worked as a paramedic in Willenhall, which is close to Wolverhampton. He made an appearance on the Channel 4 documentary series 999: On The Frontline. According to the officers, there is no one else they are searching for in relation to either death.

“On the 25 June 2024 we tragically, prematurely and unnecessarily had our beautiful daughter Lauren taken from us at the tender age of 22,” Lauren’s family stated in a statement released through police on Thursday. Lauren will always be in our memories since she was incredibly gorgeous on the inside and out.

She was a beautiful, gentle, charming kid whose smile could lift anyone’s spirits, and she was loved by her parents, younger sister, grandparents, family, and friends. In her brief life, Lauren won the hearts of many with her kind, compassionate, and loving disposition. She also had a lot more love to offer and smiles to share with her loved ones in the future.

The family members added: “Lauren loved our family dog, Poppy, and her little puppy, Milly, with the two of them forming such a strong mutual bond in only the short time they sadly had together. Lauren achieved academic success and was soon to start her chosen career in mental health nursing, in which we know she would have excelled and been an attentive and caring nurse.

“A special person has been lost to so many who had the privilege to know her and to those who would have had the pleasure of meeting her in the future. We have lost a special daughter, with her sister losing a loving companion and soul mate who wanted to share so many more experiences with Lauren.

You were always loved, will always be in our memories and by our side and we will unconditionally love you forever Lauren. We kindly request that the family’s privacy is respected, and we are allowed to grieve for our cherished Lauren in peace at this sad and traumatic time”.

“We are treating Lauren’s death as a murder following the launch of our investigation and inquiries conducted by our major investigations team,” stated Detective Inspector Louise Booker of Staffordshire’s major investigations department.

“We would want to reassure the community that we are still compiling a case for HM Coroner and are not looking for any other parties in relation to Lauren’s passing.

“Our thoughts are still with the families of those affected by this tragic incident; I can’t even begin to imagine the pain they are going through.”
