In a two-car crash in County Louth, a woman suffered critical injuries and a guy in his 60s passed away.
This morning at approximately 8:50 a.m., there was a collision on the R166 near Annagassan, Dunleer.
The driver of one of the automobiles, a man, was declared dead at the scene and his body was sent to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for a post-mortem examination.
The woman in her 40s who was operating the second vehicle was flown from the site and transported to Dublin’s Mater Hospital, where she is undergoing treatment for severe injuries.
There are limited detours in place while the road is still closed for a technical inspection.
