Human remains found wrapped in plastic at nature reserve

The remains have yet to be identified and the area has been closed off to the public

After human remains were discovered at a nature reserve wrapped in plastic, a thorough investigation was started. The public called Greater Manchester Police (GMP) after discovering a “unknown item wrapped in plastic” near Kersal Dale in Salford.

According to GMP, pathologists and detectives examined the area and determined that the material was, in fact, human remains. The unidentified remains were discovered on Thursday at approximately 5:50 p.m. in a remote forest region where a large police scene had been set up, according to the force.

A murder inquiry was started by the police after they stated that it was verified that the victim “would not be possible for the victim to have survived”. There have been no takedowns. According to its website, the mostly wooded nature reserve is located north of Manchester’s downtown and covers an area of about 32 hectares in the countryside.
