Update after Stab victim hit by car after knife attack in Luton

Last night (Monday), a car struck and stabbed a man in his 20s in Luton.

At approximately 8:00 p.m., a stabbing occurred on Bailey Street. A black Volvo that is thought to have been involved in the stabbing also struck the injured man and the police car as they were responding to the scene.

After receiving treatment at the hospital, the victim was released .Not too long afterward, the black Volvo and a parked car on Cromwell Hill collided once more.

Before the police came, the vehicle’s occupants left the site. Two Asian men in their twenties are thought to be involved. The passenger was dressed in trousers and a grey hoodie, while the driver was dressed in black.


Detective Inspector Kim Caddy stated: “We would like to reassure the public that we continue to do everything in our power to apprehend those that perpetuate violence in our communities, even though we know that incidents of this nature will no doubt cause some concern among local residents.”

We are making a call to anyone who may have seen the stabbings, collisions, or the activities leading up to and after either occurrence if they were in the vicinity of the two places between 8 and 8.30 p.m.

Whoever has knowledge or dashcam footage is requested to use CAD 409 of June 10 when contacting the police online or at 101.
