On Monday, May 27, Luton International Carnival will return with its 48th procession and theme, “Luton Flying High.”
This year’s funfair will be even more environmentally friendly thanks to new green features including six e-cargo bikes given by the LBC Cycling Promotion team and push-and-pull floats driven by electric speakers.

At 1pm, the march will begin on Park Street in front of Bedfordshire University. Throughout the town, a number of routes will be closed during the funfair procession.

The following times will see road closures:

8am to 3pm

  • 10am to 7pm
    • George Street
    • Wellington Street
    • Peel Street

    • Dunstable Place
    • Gordon Street
    • Manchester Street
    • Alma Link
    • Alma Street
    • New Bedford Road (junction with Luton-Dunstable Busway to junction with Manchester Street
    • Collingdon Street (junction with Inkerman Street to junction with New Bedford Road
    • St George’s Square
    • Bridge Street
    • Library Road
    • Guildford Street (junction with Mill Street to junction with Cheapside)
    • Bute Street
    • Silver Street
