Investigation launched after death of man found Lydney

After a man with chest injuries was discovered dead, an inquiry was opened.

Shortly before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, North Wales Police received reports of an incident on Bardsey Island (Ynys Enlli) involving injuries to a man’s chest.

A police spokeswoman stated, “Officers responded to the scene, where, tragically, a 63-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, assisted by coastguard crews and paramedics.”


The man’s next of kin have been notified, and an inquiry into the death’s circumstances is presently underway.

“As part of this investigation, officers are currently communicating with the coroner and the Health and Safety Executive.”
