Gary Neville Is Confident When Manchester City’s Manager Will Depart The Club

Gary Neville is confident that Pep Guardiola will leave Manchester City in the near future.

City are back on the trophy hunt this season after winning a record triple last season.

They are even on track for an unprecedented back-to-back triple, as they continue to dominate in the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup.

However, Manchester United legend Neville hopes Guardiola’s tenure at the Etihad Stadium does not last long.

Gary Neville reveals his Pep Guardiola hope.
On the Stick to Football podcast, Neville said: “I can’t believe Pep will stay for more than a year or so.

“I cannot think he will be there for another two, three, or four years. I can’t believe he’ll be there for more than 18 months.

Will Gary Neville receive his wish?
As a Manchester United fan, it’s understandable that Neville wants Guardiola to leave City.

The Catalan’s inevitable exit will be the most difficult challenge the club has faced in years, since how do you replace the best manager in the game?

Even if City makes a brilliant appointment, it will still be a step back, and United are the finest illustration of how losing such an important figure at a club can lead to deterioration.

City is a lot better-run organization than United was in 2013 to deal with Guardiola’s departure, but when everything has been set up for his success, his departure will still hurt.

Will Neville obtain his wish? Guardiola’s current contract runs until the summer of 2025, and he is almost set to continue with the club until then. However, it is unclear whether he will remain beyond that.

On the one hand, it’s a high-stress profession that he’d been doing for nine years. He may believe it is time for a break, having lately stated how fantastic they can be in response to Jurgen Klopp’s decision to leave Liverpool.

On the other hand, Guardiola has built a legacy at City, and everything is set up for him to succeed.
