Manchester United players completed their final training session at Carrington ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup match against Newport County.

The Reds’ journey to the Exiles this weekend presents a possible problem for Ten Hag’s team. United will play at a sold-out Rodney Parade, where the atmosphere will be very different from Old Trafford.

Ten Hag revealed in his news conference that Jonny Evans and Marcus Rashford will miss the trip to South Wales due to illness. Four players, however, have overcome their concerns and will be available for the fourth round.

Following their final session at Carrington, MEN Sport examines what we saw ahead of matchday.

Ten Hag gets an injury boost

Victor Lindelof’s appearance in training on Friday will have come as a welcome surprise to United fans. The Swede underwent surgery after sustaining a groin injury at the beginning of December.

Ten Hag has revealed that his centre-back will not be ready to face Newport, but his participation in training implies that he will return soon.
