Manchester United Bring Up 16-Year-Old Wonderkid Into First Team Training

Manchester United has included talented teenage defender Harry Amass in their first-team training session.


Erik ten Hag put the Manchester United first team through its paces on Wednesday, and as he often does, he included a few young players in the session.

Harry Amass, a brilliant left-back, wore the number 70 training kit.

United’s squad was ramping up preparations for Sunday’s Premier League match at Aston Villa.

Manchester United signed Harry Amass from Watford this summer. The young defender is an England youth international.

He has been a fixture for Manchester United’s under-18s this season, and the team has won 14 of 14 league games.

The club defeated Arsenal 4-2 in the Premier League Cup quarterfinals over the weekend, with Harry Amass among the standout players.

We noted that United fans on social media were astounded by Amass’ performance in the triumph, hailing him as a potential star.

Manchester United’s left-back position is an intriguing one, with Luke Shaw missing two spells this season due to injury, and Tyrell Malacia missing the entire campaign.

Sam Mather and Toby Collyer are also in training.
Toby Collyer and Sam Mather were also sighted in training, given an opportunity to impress the manager and socialize with the older players.

Collyer is a defensive midfielder who signed from Brighton in 2022 and has played for the under-21s this season.
