According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Manchester United are very interested in Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer and plan to make a deal during the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are now unable to spend due to Financial Fair Play constraints, and the club intends to wait until the end of the season before making fresh additions.

A new centre-back is a primary priority for the hierarchy ahead of next season, as Raphael Varane is expected to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires in June.

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Transfer Talk, Di Marzio claimed that United are quite interested in Bremer and have been monitoring him for several months.

The Red Devils are expected to make a move for the center-back in the summer.

Juventus could expect a premium pay for Bremer’s exit

Bremer has emerged as one of the strongest center defenders in the Italian top division.

The 26-year-old has been in excellent form for the Bianconeri this season. He has averaged 1.5 tackles and five duels per Serie A game, with more than four clearances.

The former Torino player has also averaged 5.2 ball recoveries each game. His powerful physical and aerial presence in the box has made him a threat to opposing strikers.

It may cost United a premium fee to sign him. Bremer signed a new long-term contract with Juventus only last month. He is now signed with the club until June 2028.

Juventus has returned to the top of Serie A after three poor seasons and will be desperate to maintain their best assets.

Bremer is valued at €50 million, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the Bianconeri demand up to €70 million to let him go.
