Manly Sea Eagles made a shocking statment about Jon Clarke new singning deal

After Hull FC announced that Jon Clarke was returning to the Super League to work as a High Performance Consultant, Manly Sea Eagles insisted that he will stay with the team in 2025.

Rather of working with Hull on a full-time basis, Clarke will combine the two positions. It is acknowledged that most of Clarke’s work will be done remotely from Australia, though he may go to the UK on occasion to deal with Hull’s coaching staff in person.

The main reason for this is because Clarke, who joined Manly at the beginning of the season to work alongside Anthony Seibold, will now be employed full-time by the NRL team.

In response to Hull’s announcement of Clarke’s new position, the Sea Eagles released a statement on Thursday reaffirming that would be the case and attempting to “avoid any confusion.” The announcement from Hull did not imply that Clarke will continue to play for Manly in addition to his responsibilities with the Black and Whites.

The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles announced that Jon Clarke, their Head of Performance, would stay with the team through 2025.

Under head coach Anthony Seibold, Clarke performed admirably in his debut season at Manly in 2024 and will stay in this capacity the following year.

The announcement that Hull FC will be adding Clarke as a High Performance Consultant ahead of the 2025 season was revealed overnight, and the club wanted to let our members and supporters know about it to clear up any confusion.

“Clarke, whose primary role is with the Sea Eagles, will serve as a consultant for Hull FC.”

Before John Cartwright’s first preseason with the Black and Whites, Clarke is probably going to England to assist in organising a comprehensive performance schedule. After then, it will be up to the club’s current performance team to carry it out on a daily basis.

However, Manly will continue to be Clarke’s primary focus and commitment. He plans to live and work in Australia in 2025.
