Serious tussle, battle emerge in the Mansfield Town dressing room#

Mansfield Town midfielder Aaron Lewis said the battle for places in the matchday squad is intense as Stags chase the League Two title.

When Stags play Lewis’ former team, Newport County, on Saturday, they will once again have an incredibly strong bench. Lewis stated, “The competition for places is amazing and we just push each other on every day.” It’s fantastic that there is a real working environment.

“You need to maintain your spot in the team by doing well in practice and every game that is scheduled.

“Everyone wants to start, but the most important thing is for the team to win three points, regardless of whether they are on the roster or not, starting or not, or coming off the bench. Everyone is searching for that.

Everyone exudes buoyancy. You are aware that anyone can be called upon at any time, and they are prepared to provide the same services as the previous user.

Observe ‘H’, or Hiram Boateng. Although he hasn’t played much this season, he came in and performed admirably.

“No bad apples exist here. Both on and off the pitch, everyone is a terrific lad. Team morale is really high here.

After defeating Salford City 5-1 the previous weekend, Mansfield took the lead in the table.

However, Lewis remarked: “Being at the top doesn’t really change anything mentally because we have been in and around it the entire season.” It’s not an absurd leap.

“We must not get ahead of ourselves; instead, we must continue doing what it is that has brought us this far.

We must continue to play each week, game by game, and never give up.

Our squad is strong and experienced, and everyone has enough experience to know that the job is never finished until it’s done. There’s still a long way to go.

“Being a Mansfield Town player is great right now, but I don’t think anything has changed since I’ve been here.” Being a Mansfield Town player has been an incredible experience ever since I first saw our team when I came through the door.

“We’ve remained exactly the same throughout the season, and everyone made me feel at home.”

“After their performance in the previous two years, Mansfield is a team that is eager to advance.

“So, coming here has definitely delivered what I expected.”
