Fabrizio Romano anticipates massive interest in 21-year-old Arsenal attacking sensation in motherwell

After his successful loan stints with Motherwell and Strom Gruz, Mika Biereth may draw interest from a number of clubs prior to the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano on Caught Offside. Arsenal has not yet made a decision on the striker’s sale; they will only make that decision once the season is over.

Mika Biereth in high demand?

Arsenal fans would know how devasting Mika Biereth was for their youth sides, and they had hoped he would get a senior loan spell sooner rather than later. The striker has been on the ranks for a few years, having signed him from Fulham after impressing on the West London side.

In the first half of the season, Biereth made an impression with Motherwell in Scotland after eventually receiving a loan from Arsenal. Although the 21-year-old attacking wonder had already scored six goals and provided five assists in 14 Premiership appearances, Arsenal believed there was still room for improvement.

He was moved to Strom Gruz in Austria by the Gunners, who recalled him from his loan at Motherwell, where he has made an incredible impact. Biereth has played in 11 games across all competitions, recording eight goals and one assist. The forward has already been discussed by Arsenal supporters as someone who should be included in the first squad, but with all the PSR-related activity, there is a potential he will be sold for a profit.

According to Fabrizio Romano, there will be a lot of interest in the 21-year-old attacking wonder from Arsenal during the summer transfer window. The forward is expected to draw attention from a number of teams, according to the Italian transfer guru, but the Gunners won’t make a decision on his future until the summer.

“There will definitely be a race for Mika Biereth this summer, as many clubs are interested in the young striker from Arsenal,” Romano stated.

However, Arsenal has made it clear that no decision will be taken regarding him at this time; instead, internal discussions about him will take place later in the year. Thus, while there is interest in this and it will probably increase over the next weeks, it is not yet a serious matter.

Arsenal could sell stars amid PSR rules

The Gunners, like any other club in the Premier League, are keen to balance their books and stay away from the PSR regulators for as long as possible. They have a few players they can sell in the summer and make a total profit on those from their academy, with the likes of Eddie Nketiah linked with a move away.

Biereth could also get sold, which would be reminiscent of Arsenal’s decision with Folarin Balogun last summer. The forward will want to return to the club and get regular minutes, as considering his form at Strong Gruz, he could have a regular place there next season or somewhere else. Hence, he might even force the issue and seek assurances of game time or a move away from the Emirates
