A motorbike and a car collided on a country road, resulting in the death of a woman.
At approximately 17:30 BST on Wednesday, emergency services were summoned to an accident on the B4014 near Long Newnton, Gloucestershire.
At the scene, a 28-year-old woman was pronounced deceased after colliding with her Kawasaki ZR motorbike. The coroner and her next of kin have been notified.
The 78-year-old woman who was driving the other car, a Volvo C70, was brought to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to receive medical attention for her injuries.
In the upcoming hours, the road between Tetbury and Malmesbury will remain blocked while police continue to investigate the circumstances behind the collision, according to police.
Gloucestershire Police are urging anyone with dashcam footage that could help with the inquiry or who witnessed the incident to get in touch with them.
