The busy summer ahead, investments in the playing team, the East Stand, the training facilities, the medical department, and the club’s purchase of land have all been discussed by Chairman Kelvin Thomas.

“I believe we are improving the club, which is our main goal.” It will be a busy summer taking care of every facet of the team, and we will keep investing in the playing group,” he stated.

In addition to managing the playing side, we bought the land for the club and are making investments to complete the East Stand. You can’t limit your attention to one thing. We have made investments in the playing staff, the medical staff, and the training facility because they are beneficial to the team and are showing their worth. We felt that investing in Jon Brady was crucial, as evidenced by the fact that we granted him a new contract when we didn’t have to.

“The property deal was completed in around twenty days, and since then, CGIs and plans have been made public, builders have begun working at Sixfields, and we are just getting started doing what we said we would.

It is a reality that we were powerless to stop the major delays to the East Stand caused by the ACV and Judicial Review. We were forced to wait for those processes to finish. While the total delay was frustrating, the JR had some positive effects because it demonstrated that the arrangement was acceptable for both the club and West Northamptonshire Council. Therefore, no one can argue that the deal was improper, incorrect, or not in the best interests of the parties involved.

“Plans and CGIs were released as soon as the project was completed, and now that the diggers are here, we are aware of the schedule. There will be significant advancements over the coming months, and the stand will look very different by the start of next season.

“We always said we would accomplish this and we are doing it, but some people claimed we would never get it done and it has to be’stand before land,’ etc. When the stand is finished, perhaps some people will concede they were mistaken, but we should be happy that we made it this far despite a small number of people’s best efforts to ruin things and hurt the club in the process.

“We had a great Open Forum last week when we answered questions and discussed our plans. Every choice we make is in the best interests of the club. We discuss issues, run through scenarios, perform the maths, and arrive at logical judgements based on the actual world information. We are investing heavily in infrastructure with a lot of money being spent on the stand. Yes, we would design things differently given a clean slate but it will still be a very good

stand that will generate significant revenue for the football team in an effort to help the team maintain as much financial balance as possible. When it’s all said and done, we will be extremely pleased.

“The club currently owns more land than it has ever owned, and its asset base has significantly improved. The football team will profit financially from any development on that area, which can only be advantageous.”
