ST. LOUIS — A man was found fatally shot last Monday, June 3, in St. Louis’ Northampton neighborhood. Following the results of an autopsy, St. Louis police launched a homicide investigation into the shooting.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to a “supposed sudden death” just before 2:30 p.m. on June 3 after a man was found with a head wound inside a garage in the 5000 block of Lindenwood Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner’s Office on June 4 informed the Homicide Division that the victim, 25-year-old Christopher Gray of St. Louis, had suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and his death was determined to be a homicide. The Homicide Division assumed the investigation.
As of Monday morning, no details were available about what led up to the shooting or whether police had any suspects.
