Prior to the deadline at the end of the month, Nottingham Forest’s PSR concerns have subsided, and the focus is now on arrivals.

Forest’s summer window under Nuno Espirito Santo is well underway, with players already coming and going from the City Ground.
Additionally, it appears like Forest will keep making trades as the Reds are reportedly in negotiations with a potential trade partner in the Premier League.

According to reports, negotiations are taking place between Forest and Newcastle United regarding a possible trade for Anthony Elanga, a winger. There are rumours that the two teams have talked about trading Elliot Anderson, a graduate of Newcastle’s academy, for Elanga.

Newcastle has reportedly talked about including Yankuba Minteh in their interest in Elanga, according to The Telegraph.

As the deadline draws closer, the two clubs are rumoured to be considering a variety of possible moves, with conversations having heated up over the past 24 hours.

Newcastle is eager to trade the winger this month, therefore Minteh is one of the players that has been talked between the two teams.

The teenage Gambian striker was scheduled to go for £40 million to Ligue 1 team Lyon, but he declined the offer.

Anderson has been one of Newcastle’s promising youngsters over recent years having made the leap into the first team from the academy.

However, in Minteh, Forest could find themselves a more direct replacement for Elanga with the Gambian having impressed in Eredivisie last season.

Across all competitions, Minteh was able to provide a return of 11 goals and six assists for Feyenoord.

Igor Paixo – Minteh’s former teammate – told the Dutch media just how promising a player the 19-year-old is.

“Yankuba keeps going. He has so much power and speed. An exceptional talent in an exceptionally strong phase of his career,” he told AD.
