Eels announce return of major sponsor

James Hardie will once again be a significant sponsor of the Parramatta Eels starting in the 2025 NRL season.

The James Hardie group and the Parramatta Eels have reached a multi-year arrangement whereby James Hardie will once again serve as the club’s primary sponsor beginning in 2025 and continuing through the end of the 2028 season.

Through the relationship, they will provide support to community initiatives, Elite Pathways, NRL, and NRLW.

After the two were partners during the club’s four premiership runs between 1981 and 1986, James Hardie has returned as a significant sponsor.

“The greatest time in the Club’s history coincided with the Club’s previous association with James Hardie as major sponsor from 1981 to 1995, which Eels fans will remember,” Eels CEO Jim Sarantinos stated.

“There is a strong synergy between our two organisations. As a Club, we have strong ties to the community of Western Sydney, which is home to Australia’s third-largest economy. James Hardie is a major employer, supplier, and investor in this area.

Through this agreement, our Club and James Hardie will together aim to grow skills, investment, and entrepreneurship in Western Sydney, in addition to supporting our football programmes and social impact objectives.

“We look forward to strengthening our Club’s foundations, providing opportunities for our community, and laying the groundwork for an era of success together again.”

James Hardie’s name will appear on the lower back and front of the team’s jersey as a result of the relationship.

Along with game-day, digital, and stadium brand activations, the name will also be visible through rights to goods and hospitality.

Chief Executive Officer of James Hardie Industries plc Aaron Erter continued, “The Parramatta Eels and James Hardie have a deep historic connection, but we also have a shared passion for what this partnership can do for the community and for us to activate our purpose, Building a Better Future for AllTM.”

“We see this as a much greater commitment to Parramatta and Western Sydney, even though we are making a commitment to the football team.”

James Hardie finds significance in Eels’ mission to “uplift lives, deliver unforgettable moments, and bring communities together.”

For more than a century, James Hardie has been a proud supplier of Australian-made building products to Sydney and the rest of Australia. These products are made at our Australian locations, one of which is in Rosehill, Western Sydney.
