It was reported by Football Insider last week that Argyle face competition from Championship rivals Millwall for the signing of Austria Lustenau striker Namory Cisse.

The rangy frontman netted three times in ten starts for the Austria Bundesliga side in the previous campaign, although they were ultimately relegated from the top flight at the end of the season.

With less than 12 months on his current deal, the former Fortuna Sittard player is said to be interesting the two second-tier sides this summer, and Argyle would love to get their hands on him to add to their attacking options.

The Pilgrims failed to find the back of the net more than once in each of their final 12 games of the previous campaign, which contributed to them battling at the bottom of the division as the season came to a close.

Argyle has already begun to solve those difficulties with the addition of Tijani and Cissoko, as well as Gyabi’s comeback, and Cisse might be the cherry on top for the upcoming season.

At six feet four inches, the striker would provide a focal point for attacks to start as he holds up the ball and invites others into action. If he were to join the Pilgrims, he could provide the frontline another dimension.
