Rangers starlet Arron Lyall is out of contract and has wanted to speak with the club’s management about his future so he can start planning for the upcoming season.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder’s contract at Ibrox is about to expire in a few weeks. He played the entire 2023–24 season on loan with Airdrieonians in the SPFL Championship.

Furthermore, as reported by Glasgow World on May 13, the academy graduate acknowledged that “conversations need to be had” on his plans for the upcoming season.

“It’s important to have conversations, and my contract expires in the summer,” he stated.

“I just want to be playing football; I don’t care about a lot of the finer details.”

Rangers must make important contract decisions this summer.
Lyall is one of several Light Blues players without a contract this summer, but his future will undoubtedly take a backseat to that of the six first-team players who come before him.

Despite Philippe Clement’s attempts to keep them, it appears that Borna Barisic and John Lundstram will be joining Trabzonspor in the upcoming season.

Although Leon Balogun appears to be someone the management would like to keep at the team, Kemar Roofe, Ryan Jack, and Jon McLaughlin appear poised to depart after making very few appearances for the squad this season.

A decision regarding the futures of loanees Abdallah Sima, Oscar Cortes, and Fabio Silva must also be made by the club; Ianis Hagi, among other players, is scheduled to return from stints elsewhere.

This indicates that Lyall is not only far down the club’s hierarchy, but also in terms of discussions on his future, and leaving is most likely to happen in this situation.
