Now that they are “close” to signing contracts, Trabzonspor and Rangers defender Borna Barisic have made “significant progress” in their negotiations.

Barisic’s contract with Rangers expires in the summer, and it is generally anticipated that he will leave the team in quest of a new challenge.

The Croatian left-back’s alternatives have been examined by his agent, and Trabzonspor of Turkey is clearly in the lead.

They have been in communication with Barisic’s agent and are eager to finalise his deal as soon as possible.

Additionally, substantial progress has reportedly been achieved in the negotiations, according to Turkish site Fotomac (via A Spor).

As a result, Barisic’s signature on a contract is now imminent for Trabzonspor.

Barisic is expected to be one of the five or six recruits the Turkish team hopes to make during the summer transfer window.
At this point, Trabzonspor has also begun to pursue forwards and midfielders.
By winning the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup, Barisic hopes to cap off his tenure at Rangers on a positive note.
