Fans of Reading FC have been notified that they are not permitted to bring inflatables into the stadium for this Saturday’s away game against Burton Albion.

The Royals supporters had been preparing to commemorate “inflatables day,” an annual event that takes place on the last away day of the season.

With a draw against Barnsley last weekend, Ruben Selles’ team ensured their safety, meaning Burton and Cheltenham Town cannot catch them.

However, Reading’s festive mood for their Saturday visit to Pirelli Stadium Princess Way has been shelved after Reading FC fan club Club 1871 received word from Burton Albion that fans bringing inflatables will not be permitted entry into the stadium.

With three games left in the season, Burton is now in 20th place and battling for their lives.

With 43 points, they are three points clear of the relegation zone, but Fleetwood, Port Vale, and Cheltenham are still in the running to make it out.
