Kelly Chambers, the manager of Reading FC Women, has demanded action in response to rumors that the team’s future is uncertain.
According to reports, the club’s financial problems may prevent it from participating in the Women’s Championship the following season.
After being demoted to the Championship last summer, Cousins (nee Chambers), the former Women’s Super League manager for the Royals from 2015 to 2023, left the team and is currently the sporting director of the Utah Royals.
Chambers remarked, “This breaks my heart,” in reference to rumors that Reading might not be able to compete in the Championship the following season. a team with a long history in women’s basketball that has produced many incredible players.
“The past few years have been difficult, but this is terrible. There must be action taken! RIGHT NOW!
“This group needs someone to speak up for them! To everyone present at the club: RESIST THIS HAPPENING!
