During Reading FC’s home game against Huddersfield Town, they will protest against current owner Dai Yongge once more.

Over the course of the past year, the protest group Sell Before We Dai has planned multiple demonstrations, including a march through the town to the stadium, tennis balls on the field, posters, placards, and digital billboards.

Fans are being urged to hold up red cards in front of the Sky Sports cameras on Saturday (12.30pm kickoff), a tactic that was also employed the previous season.

Fans protested on the pitch to have the team’s match against Port Vale abandoned last season, but they have been dissuaded from doing so this year because of the potential consequences, which included point deductions.

We understand that supporters are upset about Reading FC’s future, according to a statement from SBWD. We also are. We’ve been hard at work figuring out how to spread the word this Saturday.

“The fans are eager to support the club and Ruben Selles, devoting a great deal of their efforts to doing so. Dai Yongge has let them down so terribly.

The majority of people are currently against match disruption, and it was hardly mentioned at all. We share that opinion. Fans are eager for TV cameras to witness any demonstration.

“After considering a number of choices, red cards will be returned. Our main goal will be to distribute them in places where Sky Sports cameras will be able to see them.

In the eighteenth minute, please raise your hand if you earn a red card.

Additionally, we are urging everyone to bring their own flags, posters, and banners to display in unison throughout the entire minute.

“We’re not ruling out alternative protest ideas down the road, such as the often-mentioned walk-out.

“Next week, we’ll be revealing more details about our future plans, including what we have planned with politicians and the media.”
