GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) – On June 25th the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) sent out an alert attempting to locate an endangered adult.

52-year-old Michael Tollis was last on the 24th near his home in the Redlands area of the 400 block of Sandia Drive. Officials stated that Tollis had short-term memory loss and was not familiar with the area, additionally he had medical issues that required medication.

At approximatley 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday, deputies from the MCSO responded to a call of a dead man near the 700 block of Soaring Eagle Drive. Deputies identified the man as Tollis.

His death is not considered suspicious at this time. The Mesa County Coroners Office will provide further information regarding the cause of death at a later date.
