Surprisingly enough, Devante Rodney has agreed to a new two-year deal with Dale!
At the end of last season, Rodney was one of several players who received a new contract offer, but it’s reasonable to say that it was anticipated that he would be joining an EFL team.
The 26-year-old striker’s season last year was difficult because he missed a large portion of it due to illness or fitness concerns. Despite this, he managed to score seven goals in 20 appearances throughout a very inconsistent campaign and had a significant influence in the last few months of the season.
As a Robbie Stockdale signing, Rodney came to Dale in the summer of 2022 and has since made 65 appearances for the team, scoring 19 goals.
