Three people taken to hospital after serious three-vehicle crash on the B1119 Saxmundham Road

Three people have been taken to hospital after a serious three-vehicle crash in east Suffolk.

Police were called to reports of the collision on the B1119 Saxmundham Road, near Leiston, at 5.35pm yesterday.

The ambulance and fire services were also at the scene

The incident involved a white Fiat 500, a black BMW 114i and a red Mercedes lorry.

The two automobiles’ imprisoned drivers were assisted by firefighters in their escape.

The driver of the Fiat sustained a severe leg injury, and both drivers and a passenger from the automobile were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Up until approximately 9:50 p.m., when the two automobiles were found, the route was closed.

 

Police are looking for witnesses to the crash and requesting that drivers who have dashcam footage look through it for any potentially helpful information.
